Leading the Way to 50 Million Strong!

50 Million Strong is SHAPE America's commitment to empowering all youth to lead active lives and make healthy choices through effective health education and physical education programs. Health and physical educators are uniquely positioned to be the UPS delivery system for quality instruction that provides students with the skills, knowledge and desire to achieve 50 Million Strong. SHAPE America President, Dr. Fran Cleland, will highlight SHAPE America's efforts toward achieving 50 Million Strong and showcase how INAHPERD's health and physical education teachers are leading the way toward achieving 50 Million Strong.
 
Please share your success story by doing one or more of the following by October 15, 2017.
 
1. Video a lesson episode (no more than 2 minutes in length) that is based on a specific Indiana Academic Standard for physical education. Provide a brief narrative explaining how this lesson episode is aligned with the appropriate INAHPERD physical education standard. Please also provide a brief rationale as to how it contributes toward INAHPERD Strong/50 Million Strong.
 
2. Video a health education lesson episode (no more than 2 minutes in length) that addresses one of the Indiana Health & Wellness academic standards. Provide a brief narrative explaining how the lesson episode addresses the specific standard. Please also provide a brief rationale as to how it contributes toward INAHPERD Strong/50 Million Strong.
 
3. Video or take photos of a before, during or after school program that you have helped to organize and/or lead. Please also provide a brief rationale as to how it contributes toward INAHPERD Strong/50 Million Strong.
 
4. Technology! How do you incorporate technology to effectively deliver your health and/or physical education instruction? Video a lesson segment (no more than 2 minutes) that showcases how you use technology to teach a specific concept aligned with and Indiana Academic Standard in health or physical education. Provide a brief narrative explaining the lesson segment. Please also provide a brief rationale as to how it contributes toward INAHPERD Strong/50 Million Strong.
